We Build Bridges to Connect the World to You
QS Asia is the regional subsidiary of QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the producers of the widely respected QS World University Rankings as well as various regional and subject rankings.
Having provided strategic solutions to universities for their brand exposure and international recognition for more than a decade, QS Asia is indeed the best advisor Asian, Middle Eastern and African universities can consult when seeking the fastest and most cost-effective globalisation measures. Established in Asia and run by people from the same continent, QS Asia commits itself to manifesting Asian higher education excellence to the rest of the world. This is achieved through innovative conferences, well-organised
exhibitions, unique seminars and specialised summits, as well as publications that are wide-ranging in content and extensive in global distribution.
QS Asia events are organised on behalf of QS Education Trust which
- Provides and sources education scholarships for international students;
- Governs all QS events, including QS-APPLE and QS-MAPLE conferences as well as QS WorldClass and QS in conversation seminars; and
- Promotes other philanthropic and social aspects of international education on a global scale and with a special focus on Asia, Middle East and Africa.
QS Education Trust funds its scholarship projects through the income generated by the delegate registration fees of QS events, including QS-APPLE and QS-MAPLE.
Each year any surplus revenue generated from these events is reserved for scholarships for students entering higher education institutions outside their home countries.
Therefore, by attending any one of QS Asia events, universities serve two purposes. They help to boost their university’s internationalisation and aid students around the world in fulfilling their dreams towards the attainment of higher education.
QS-APPLE Organisational Structure
QS-APPLE is owned and managed by QS Education Trust, the not-for-profit arm of QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
QS's permanent staff, based in Singapore and London, are responsible for the planning and implementation of the conference and exhibition. There is a chair of the conference programme appointed by QS from the academic community, which plays a major role in the fulfilment of QS-APPLE's objectives.
For each annual QS-APPLE, a university in the host country is appointed to be our local supporting partner. The partner carries out operational and promotional functions, and contributes to the speaking programme in return for the considerable global promotion and prestige that the role brings with it.
